Year 12 and 13 students, accompanied by some of their teachers, recently returned from an unforgettable Mediterranean cruise aboard the MSC Seaside – and what an experience it was! From the moment we set sail, the journey was filled with exploration, fun, and friendship.
Our first stop was Tunis, where we wandered through the authentic and vibrant Medina, soaking in the colours, scents and charm of local culture. We also went to Sidi Bou Said, well known for its cobbled streets and blue-and-white houses. Afterwards, we explored the characterful streets of Palermo and Naples, both cities steeped in history and bursting with cultural and street life. Florence was a true highlight – the birthplace of the Renaissance dazzled us with its art, architecture and atmosphere. In Marseille, we marvelled at the stunning cathedral and enjoyed the lively port.
Life on board offered something for everyone – whether it was relaxing by the pools, playing games, aquatic activities, joining a dance class, cinema, theatre, gym, singing at karaoke, or dancing at the themed parties: Flower Party, White Party and Gala Night.
The students’ behaviour throughout the trip was exemplary. So much so that the agency staff told us it was the best group they had ever worked with – a real credit to our school community.
It was truly a trip to remember, packed with memories, laughter, and shared moments that will stay with us all, students and teachers, for ever.
