To enrich our current unit on celebrations and festivals, our students took part in a special French cultural activity to celebrate La Chandeleur. This traditional French festival, held on 2nd February, has both historical and cultural significance in France.
During the activity, students learned about the origins of La Chandeleur and its connection to seasonal change and good fortune. They explored French customs and even tried crêpes. This hands-on experience allowed pupils to deepen their understanding of French culture while developing their language skills in a fun and memorable way.
