Our infant school is the place where the baby, the child, feels safe, protected and loved, in a word, happy, every minute of the day. This is where the child will discover little by little, supported by the hands of our patient, understanding and loving experts and committed professionals, which is his/her place in the world around him/her, where he/she will learn to fly gradually on his/her own, growing inside and out, in a secure, cheerful and positive environment.
This section of the school has a special timetable. Please contact the office for more information.
This stage in the development of children is their first contact with formal education, so this experience must be an exciting and unforgettable adventure that will establish the extremely valuable foundations of their future learning and their development as a person. To that end, the British College of Benalmádena offers children a creative and motivating environment that will help them through a wide variety of activities and experiences, to develop the most of all skills and values.
The programme of studies at this stage focuses on seven areas of learning as laid out in the British National Curriculum.
The Infant School of the British College of Benalmádena has large classrooms all fully equipped with a variety of educational materials, including musical instruments, which make it possible to carry out activities aimed at promoting physical, imaginative and creative games, as well as learning in all the different areas of knowledge.
In addition, all classrooms have computers and interactive whiteboards which allows the children to be introduced into the world of technology from his/her first steps in the school environment.
Also, as in Primary and Secondary, all the Infant classrooms (Pre-Nursery, Nursery and Reception) have cameras so that parents, with an access code, can see their children in class from their own home.
All the British College of Benalmádena classrooms have air conditioning and heating.
Recreational areas, all fully covered with safety flooring and equipped with outdoor activity units, are divided according to the children’s age, as security is a top priority in our centre.
The teaching staff in this section of the school is made up of British teachers with qualifications specifically for these levels.
The education is delivered in English. Children whose first language is not English, can also receive tuition in Spanish if their parents wish so.
Fill out the application form in our Admissions section and take the first step towards a bright future.
