From 31st March to 4th April, the British College Key Stage 4 students enjoyed 5 fantastic days of friendship, sport and enjoyment in the Sierra Nevada ski station in Granada (Spain). Our students had great fun practising their skiing skills.
This trip was a reward for those students who consistently work hard and represent the school as sport leaders or in sport competitions. It also had an impact on the coursework of our IGCSE PE students.
The visit to the “Elite Sport Centre of Altitude” in Sierra Nevada gave our PE students an insight into what it means to be selected as part of a National team in Spain, as well as the physiological adaptations required for living and training in altitude.
This trip encouraged leadership and comradeship in the students and helped them to appreciate how important it is to respect the nature surrounding us. Students and the members of staff who led this trip thoroughly enjoyed this great time.
