The year 11, 12 and 13 students who study music as one of their IGCSE/AS/A Level subjects, accompanied by their music teacher, went on a school trip to attend a concert of classical music in Málaga, on Friday 29th September. The concert was held at the auditorium Edgar Neville, and was given by the “Orquesta Filarmónica de Málaga”.
The programme for the evening was Mozart’s flute concerto no. 1 in G major, followed by Mendelsohn’s 4th symphony, ‘The Italian’, which also happens to be one of the set works for year 11 students.
The concert was a wonderful opportunity to hear a professional orchestra perform two important and renowned pieces of music, and the students fully enjoyed such a wonderful experience.
