Our Year 2 pupils visited the secondary science laboratories

During the second term, in Science, Year 2 have been learning about materials. This has included the uses of materials and how they can be changed with heating, cooling and by forces. As well as conducting some exciting experiments in class, they made a special visit to the laboratory where Mr. Collins, Head of the Science department, and four secondary science students conducted some experiments for the Year two children to observe.
This really helped the children to understand the differences between solids, liquids and gases.
The children´s interest in Science has been greatly encouraged – we are sure we have some budding scientists for the future!
