READING WORKSHOP FOR PARENTS

On Wednesday 16th November, parents from Reception, Years 1 and 2, attended the Reading Workshop for parents that we organise every year.
The teachers explained to the parents in full detail how the reading system works in English and which are the strategies and didactic resources that we use.
By the time they are 7 years of age all of our children achieve or exceed the expected levels of reading. This is down to the children’s hard work, our school approach and management of reading and parents’ support.
One of our main goals is that our pupils develop a life long love of books and reading.
Children must enjoy learning and the close collaboration between parents and teachers is essential to achieve this.
The workshops for parents make this collaboration easier which benefits the children so much.
