TRIP TO CÓRDOBA

On May 21st, our year 9 students had the opportunity to visit the city of Córdoba, the former capital of the Umayyad Caliphate, to reinforce what they had learnt in class about Al-Andalus. The visit began at the Torre de la Calahorra, which hosts the Al-Andalus museum. The tour then continued in the Mosque-Cathedral, the emblematic symbol of the city. Finally, pupils walked across the Roman Bridge, and through the narrow streets and patios of La Judería, where they had lunch before heading back to Torremuelle.
