As part of the activities programmed by the Geography and Travel and Tourism teachers in order to fulfil the requirements of those subjects’ syllabuses, on Tuesday 11th October, both teachers took the students of years 9, 10 and 11 to Nerja where they visited the Caves and the Museum.

The students who are studying Travel and Tourism used this opportunity to check and analyse in-situ how a tourist attraction of this calibre is managed. The Nerja Cave is the third most visited attraction in Andalucía.

The students who are studying Geography observed what kind of physical and human attractions bring tourists to an area and the impact that this can have upon it. As one of Spain´s top tourist destinations, the Nerja cave is a case-study that the pupils can use in their final GCSE exam in May.
